Pimp My Organ 2

Due to great success in December 2009, now the sequel to Pimp My Organ! During this concert the computerized Fokker organ will again be operated by laptops. Using the latest electronic features, the 31-tone organ now will be expanded, revamped and pimped-up!

The works of Verduin, Benard, Pfeiffer and Mensingh were premiered earlier in 2010 during the Gaudeamus Music Week and will be performed for the first time now within the Fokker organ concert series. In addition, flautist Jos Zwaanenburg, accompanied by organist Ere Lievonen, will play a revised composition of himself. For this concert two composers have written a new composition. Besides a premiere of the Mexican composer Sebastian Velasco, one can also listen to a new work of the New York composer and Gaudeamus Music Prize Winner of 2007, Christopher Trapani, who composed his piece under supervision of master composer Tristan Murail.

Tickets can be reserved at the Muziekgebouw. The tickets include a drink after the concert in the Star Ferry restaurant of the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ.
