In addition, the programme pays attention to the composer Conlon Nancarrow, admired by Ligeti, who with his <em>Study No. 21<\/em> for player piano composed a piece unplayable by human hands. Through the most modern electronic techniques it is possible to perform the piece directly on the Fokker organ by means of a laptop. Furthermore, four movements will be performed from the organ work Rrrrrrr\u2026 by the famous composer Mauricio Kagel, who was a close acquaintance of Gy\u00f6rgy Ligeti. Kevin Volans, like Ligeti, was inspired by ethnomusicologist Imha Arom, which alone creates a connection between the two composers. Hans Otte once organised a festival in which, at his request, a work by Gy\u00f6rgy Ligeti was premiered. So they too knew each other. In short, enough cross-connections to form a splendid programme that can only be heard this morning.
