Location
Huygens-Fokker Foundation is located in the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, which is a 10-minute walk from Central Station, 5 minutes by car from ring road A10 East and 3 minutes by tram (line 26) from Central Station. Below the Muziekgebouw is a parking garage with a staircase and elevator upstairs. The office of the Huygens-Fokker Foundation is located on the fifth floor, on the east side of the building. When you arrive at the Muziekgebouw via the walkway through the swing door, you are already on the second floor. On your right are two elevators that go to the offices. Arriving on the fifth floor, next to the glass door on the landing on the right, you will see a panel with bell buttons and a nameplate on which the Huygens-Fokker Foundation is stated. Our office can be found halfway down the hallway on the left. Musicians can report to the doorman through the artist entrance.
If you visit one of our concerts and/or the Fokker organ in the Muziekgebouw, you should take the stairs or elevator downstairs at the café restaurant Dudok aan ‘t IJ to the third foyer deck, where the Small Hall (Kleine Zaal) is located. The entrance to the hall is on the left next to the elevator.

Huygens-Fokker Foundation in the Muziekgebouw
The offices of various ensembles and musical organisations are located on the east side of the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ. The Huygens-Fokker Foundation is also located here, on the fifth and also highest floor. This location is particularly practical for the foundation, since the Small Room and the Fokker organ can be reached inside. This allows instruments to be transported inside from the office to the room. The proximity of good information and promotional opportunities is also of great importance and a decisive reason for the establishment in the Muziekgebouw. In this building, due to the presence of several organisations, a bundle of knowledge about music is present. In addition, the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ is of course a dream location with good facilities, such as the cosmopolitan café restaurant Dudok aan ‘t IJ and the artists’ foyer backstage. The office is easily accessible from the atrium on the second floor, with two elevators on the east side of the building. The Huygens-Fokker office is not only used for administrative purposes, but initially functions as a visitor centre, where the special archive and the foundation’s microtonal music library are also located, which can be visited by appointment.
